Best Mexican in Tulsa, OK (not Tex-Mex)

Michael | May 7, 200201:23 PM

There's a little hole in the wall, at 129th and 21st in Tulsa called Tacos San Pedro It's owned and run by a family from Mexico and you need a passing knowledge of true Mexican dishes to order from the menu, no fajitas here, you have a choice of pork, chicken, beef, or fish for you burritos, tortas, etc. A basic burrito asada is huge and has hot pickled vegetables as well as meat in a wonderful handmade tortilla you can follow up with Mexican pastries and a horchata and then visit the grocery store and tortilla shop next door. This is one of favorite places of a lot of Tulsa's Hispanic immigrants. One of my cooks is from a small town in southern Mexico and he turned me on to it.
