Can a metal 3-Ply Clad Dutch oven withstand high oven temps?

soccermom13 | Sep 27, 202004:12 AM     13

My daughter's husband is in the military and was transferred to a new location. It has taken them much longer to find a home to purchase than they expected and they are currently living in an Airbnb. Their rather extensive collection of cookware is in storage.

Last night my daughter wanted to make a chicken recipe that required an oven temp of 450 degrees F, but the Airbnb did not have a suitable vessel. I have a 6 quart metal 3-Ply Clad Dutch oven I could send them, but would that withstand 450 degrees F? The "use and care" materials state "to maintain the attractive appearance, using this cookware in an oven above 350 degrees F is not recommended." But if marring the appearance is the only issue, couldn't the Dutch oven be cleaned up with Barkeepers' Friend?

Thanks in advance.

p.s. I have a large Griswold cast iron skillet I could send, but it won't fit into the largest USPS flat rate box---- :o(
