Had dinner at the Mermaid Inn this eve and had a very pleasant, yet somewhat average meal. My husband had the seafood tower to start which had lovely fresh oysters, clams and shrimp. The clam fritters are tasty yet very doughy and filling. I had the tuna which was fresh but i am not a big fan of tuna drowned with red sauce which was the way it was served. My husband had the cod which was tasty, tiny portion and somewhat undercooked. Overall, the meal was fine. the service was great and we sat in the back garden which was very buggy (and adorable) with several caterpillar friends landing on the table (doesnt bother me but drives the husband nuts)
So overall, a fine time but no rush from way uptown to go back!
P.S. I read several posts about the dorade which wasnt on the menu
