Stopped by Jimmy's Chicago Style dogs for lunch today and noticed that Deep Dish Chicago Pizza is now on the menu, with a 45 minute cooking time, so anyone interested might want to call ahead. Also, a large (16") with the works is somewhere around $30--I don't know how this compares to other Chicago-style, but it's a bit more expensive than Papa John's.
Considering that I really really like their thin crust pizza, I'll be trying this soon.
Also: Saturday I stopped into Heavenly Hoagie on Madison after hearing good things about it, placed my order, and walked out fifteen minutes later in disgust when it became apparent that the guy behind the counter hadn't started working on my sandwich (yes, I told him I was leaving). There were five people total in the place. Is this normal for them? Is it worth another shot?
