If you're anywhere in the Charleston area and you like fried oysters, you have to try the McClellanville Diner on Rt 17 in McClellanville SC (between Charleston and Georgetown). The oysters are big and juicy and are brought to your table piping hot and crispy. The chef has been cooking in the area for years (at the Trawler in Mt Pleasant and the Seewee in Awendaw) and now has his own place in this lovely Coastal village famous for shrimp, oysters, flounder, and crab. Please beware they only serve dinner on Friday and Saturday night.
