I went to meet a friend for dinner who is a grad student at Columbia. She lives right off campus and she reccomended a place right by where she lives. I wasn't expecting much -I was more interested in catching up with my friend than expecting a great meal. But I was very pleasantly surprised to have a wonderful pasta dish at Max's. It was housemade black linguine with spicy tomato sauce and rock shrimp and it was GREAT! and inexpensive as well. For a great pasta, a glass of wine and I split a tiramisu with my friend - I spent $27 (including tax and tip). Anyone have any other suggestions for good housemade inexpensive pasta (Preferably upper west side)
