Mauviel MCook - Fully Encapsulated

mobiledynamics | Oct 16, 201907:06 AM     49

I've got some BBB gift cards sitting in the drawer - so while looking online on BBB browsing, noticed the description wording on the Mauviel MCook line as * encapsulated aluminum core construction".

Is it fully encapsulated ? 100% ?

I was rehashing the other recent thread on the aluminum/dishwasher thread topic, which spurred me to go check out my .001 percent unsealed Proline skillets. We discussed this, but this is the where the inner wraps/caps the core, then goes under the lip. There is a very minute/slight recess/bevel that IMO is exposed. Prolines get's thrown in the DW all the time so it should be fairly clean/spotless. Anyhow, this slight reveal if you want to call it that, does show/have the telltale brownish oxidation you see with any aluminum core cookware put in the dishwasher. So while the core is capped, it's not 100% sealed. welded
