Maureen Fant, _Dictionary of Italian Cuisine_

Our own Maureen Fant has written this book: _Dictionary of Italian Cuisine_, which has proven to be priceless for me through all the areas of Italy where I’ve been, and always at hand wherever I dine. In 2012 in Florence, at Cibreo’s fine dining restaurant, the waitress, who look like the owner, spoke perfect English, French, and German. Yet there was an item on the menu which she couldn’t translate into English. With Maureen’s book lying on the table, we looked it up and found it. I offered to let the restaurant take down the title and author so that it could put the book to use in drafting Cibreo's English menu. And so she did.
