Maui Potato Chips

First, many thanks to all for the potato chip suggestions.

One very important matter. Extensive research has uncovered the fact that the original maui chips (the Petrus of potato chips) are still being made, and the company did not sell out to Frito Lay as has been rumored. Their production has been cut back, however, and the chips are available only on Maui (and, even there, only in certain stores). Can't find 'em on the big island.

There are several Hawaiian companies pretending to sell original Maui chips, by the way, so be careful. I'll have more info on this in the article (hopefully done by mid-June), I'm still researching the issue.

Here's the thing: these guys will almost definitely not ship me samples. Does anyone know anyone who lives on Maui who might be willing to pick me up a bunch of samples and ship 'em to NY? I'd gladly pay all expenses, of course, plus throw in a small gift.

Please email me at address above if you can help. I'd need them sent in a couple of weeks.
