I am having a hike and picnic for my birthday and I insist on having icebox cake, it's my new favorite. I've never attempted to make it, but my I have purchased many, and I know they dont travel well. I thought I might put them in mason jars. They don't have to be pretty, just yummy.
I'm looking for suggestions, advice, maybe a preferred recipe, some tips/ techniques.
Could I make them a day or tow in advance and serve them later, or will they not hold up. Would the jar improve the staying time?
