Going to Masa's

First, thanks to all who take the time and effort to post detailed reports on their experiences. They provide a welcome respite from the grind of daily life. This weekend, we're celebrating a birthday at Masa's and I want to return the favor.

In that vein, short of videotaping and dictating your meal, how does one go about preserving the memories for later reporting? On any given day I can hardly remember what I had for breakfast; I'm not optimistic about remembering the details of 6 (or 9) courses. Do you ask for a copy of the menu? Do you take notes? Do you consult your dining companions after the meal? In short, those of you who provide 1000 words in place of a picture, how do you do it?

Any tips will be most appreciated (and hopefully rewarded with an informative, enjoyable post).
