Had a mixed impression of this place. Took my father here for dinner on Friday. The ambience is nice for a parent dinner (quiet, nice covered-outdoor area, older non-sceney atmosphere). And the service was fine.
Food was mixed:
-- White asparagus appetizer: tasty w/ red peppers and a garlic vinagrette but for 14 dollars i think more than three asparagus are in order?
-- Endive salad w/ cabrales cheese and orange slices: was a disappointment. Tiny amount of cheese mixed up in a "yogurt sauce" daintily dropped on endives. Eh. More cheese and endives needed.
-- a cod special was delicious: lemony and great.
-- Filet mignon was fine.
-- The peppers stuffed w/ cod made for a poor entree: the stuffing (cod, plus bread? mayonaise? unsure) was a bit sweet and doughy. A bite as an appetizer might have been okay, but it was a sad excuse for a main course.
Overall: a decent quiet place w/ solid if overpriced food and vibe suitable for older out-of-town visitors.
