Earlier posts on Maria's misses some of its virtues.
I've had two excellent meals in the last week or so.
The two partners are Ecuadoran, not Mexican, though
their wives are; as a result, the menu has some nice
Ecuadoran touches, especially the ceviches, which have
been first rate and creative. They've also taken
great care to make a beautiful space. (Although they
do not have a double door on the entry, so on a cold
night there is a draft when the front door opens.)
My desire to be able to get a table at will has led
me to be slow about posting this, but this place
strikes me as a really great addition to the Park
Slope dining scene. Located on Union just off 4th.
