Marginal at Best

Came here for lunch after hearing great things about Milagro.

Unfortunately, it fell way short of expectation and I looked like the A hole who recommended it to our group. Overall, everyone in our group was disappointed. First the bartender asked if we wanted some chips BEFORE we got menus, leading us to believe they were complimentary. Should have guessed they weren’t. when I commented, our server said it was right in the menu, and I should have known. Ya, ok. A bit deceptive if you ask me. Considering it was pretty unremarkable, eventually it was taken off the bill.

So the food. The crab appetizer tasted imitation, and didn’t work with the crispy tortilla. The tortilla soup had nothing but broth for 7 bucks. The crispy chicken tortillas tasted, well like just tortillas. I guess this is authentic Mexican cuisine, but how you can get away with charging 20 bucks for fried flour dough, I don’t know. That’s Lawrence Park for you. Anyway, the sangria was good, but way overpriced.

Anyway, this place is definitely not worthy of a repeat visit.
