Marcella Hazan: three great recipies, two great results

Tomato Sauce with Onions and Butter

Chowhounds told me this sauce is so great they skip the pasta and just eat it as soup. I can understand why. This sauce is so rich, so delicious, absolutely
decadent....I know marcella wouldn't approve (niether would some Chowhounds) but we have used it as a sauce on our homemade pizzas and it's wonderful. Another great thing about this recipe is how simple it is, it does use quite a bit of butter but the butter is key...don't be afraid.

Green Beans W/Yellow Peppers Tomatoes and Chilli Pepper

WOW! This is a wonderful dish, we were not big fans of green beans before this recipe but we are now. I am usually afraid of overcooking my veggies so I was afraid that cooking them for 30 minutes was way too long. I was wrong , they were great, easily the best green beans I have ever had.

Granateed Cauliflower with Bechamel Sauce

.Ok, I screwed this one up... I admit it, it's not Marcellas fault. I Didn't salt the Bechamel because I had already salted the Cauliflower (I was born with a heart condition so my mother never salted my food. Therefore my sensitivity to salt is very high) the result was, well bland. I added salt at the table, but it would have been much better if I had just listened to what Marcella Says.

More reports to come...
