I live close to Mantra and have seen them change their menu a few time; French/Indian fusion to high end Indian inflenced. I never much cared for the food and felt tey were always trying to straddle the line between serious restaurant and nightclub. I used to stop in for a drink after work from time to time and haverecently had the traditional Indian lunch buffet ,which is a good if slightly expensive version.
I got a mailing of their new menu. Mostly traditional dishes like Chicken Saag and Lamb Vindaloo, etc..about like 90% of the other Indian restaurants around town. Nothing wrong with that, I like those dishes. A few $ more than India Quality and the higher priced Kashmir..$17/18 entrees but if I figure in travel expense r delivery, it's probably the same and maybe their execution or ingredients are better than some of the other places?
Anyone been yet? I'll probably check it out in the next few weeks and report back.
Nice to have an Indian restaurant in the neighborhood; as I happen to like the cuisine,
