While I think that food challenges are generally for the insane, I'll have to say the Mad Greek sandwich looks pretty damn good (I'll take about a 1/32nd piece!).

I'll also say is that I miss Pondo Kosmas -- a funny and genuinely kind man who took over Mad Greek from his dad. He was the quintessential deli owner who tended his business and his customers with great skill and care. He was always up for a cold beer and always had an eye for a pretty girl.

Just in case you've never been there, the french-fried squid is the bomb! Mostly tentacles fried so crispy that they go down like potato chips. The gyros is pretty good too...appropriately messy.

Somehow, I think Bud Clark and Pondo Kosmas are brothers from different mothers...
