I went there for lunch a couple of years back & ordered a salad & a diet Coke & scungili. An hour & 15 minutes later I'm still waiting & some young-dumb & full of ---- philosopher told me if I'd wanted fast-food I should have gone to Micky-D's. I told him he was right & put the 4.oo on the table for the salad & drink & was in the street a minute later. The owner came out (Ed. Vasaio) & asked me if there was a problem. I said, "no, not at all, young genius here gave me some good advice" Ed told me to call him in a bit & bring the wife to dinner on him. I called 2 months later and asked him if he remembered me & said, "I'm just glad you remembered me" yadda-yadda can we come over to dinner? 7:3o ok? Bing- he has a table ready- He comes over after we're seated, this is this & that's that la la la- I just tell him, you know what's what here. You show me what you want me to see & take it from there. We had it all. We had to carry home 3 card-board things you get a case of beer in w/take-out containers. I just guess he knew I'd tell the story. I'm a regular over there. Best Italian food in Richmond, Va. I've been all over the place & love it but come here & see for yourselves. The appearance of the place from the outside looks like it ought to be a "Social-Club" in you know where Ed Vasaio puts all his energy & creativity into the food.
