After reading mixed reviews here about this North End eatery, we finally gave it a try. It was romantic, as others have noted and the service was wonderful, (our waiter was excellent in his wine recs) but the most notable thing about the restaurant, is clearly the food. We had one of the best meals we've had in the city. The grilled calamari app was perfectly prepared, succulent and highlighted by braised fennel. The arugula salad with smokehouse bacon was perfectly subtle. For main courses we had a pan seared veal chop and ossa bucco. The veal chop was very good, but the ossa bucco was fantastic, served with perfectly cooked risotto and topped with a braising sauce that I wish I could have bottled and taken home with me. It was truly a memorable meal and one that i can't wait to try again.
