Mako vs. Vert box for Hwd Bowl Thurs. night

carter | Aug 3, 200507:35 PM

Got the menus from both restaurants today. the Mako one is $50, and it states it will feed two people. Has anyone tried it and can verify that fact? Includes the wagyu beef meatballs, mini lamb chops, crispy chicken/orange sauce, chili shrimp w/steamed broccoli, veggie sushi rolls, smoked salmon, shrimp/red crab w/cucumber salad, and sake marinated sea bass. Sure sounds like it would, but...!
The Vert one has poached salmon for $19 a person, plus sides at around $5-10. Also available as entreess are filet mignon, antipasto salad, marinated shrimp and nicoise tuna salad, all in the $18-20 range, except antipasto at $14.
Anyone tried either and can suggest a preference? Right now, Mako is the choice, yet from Sherman Oaks, it is not next door!
