A couple of weeks ago, I stopped by the copper Fox Distillery (http://www.copperfox.biz/index/) in Sperryville, Virginia, and bought a bottle of their single malt whisky (90 proof), and their spirit whisky (124 proof). The single malt is barrel aged, and is nice for sipping neat. but taking the spirit whisky straight is quite the experience, given the high proof, and I'm thinking that the spirit might be better enjoyed in some sort of cocktail that would lower the alcoholic level a bit. However, I'm not exatly sure what would work best. The spirit itself has a very pronounced taste of grain with a slight sweetness. Any suggestion would be helpful.
