Maine Eats

Just returned from a quick trip Down East and we ate ate at a few old favorites and tried a new place.
Union River Lobster Pot in Ellsworth was the new place. We loved it. Good food, good atmosphere. Fish chowder was excellent. We'll go back for the shore dinner and blueberry pie.
Walnut creme pie at Moody's Diner is as good as it ever was.
We waited in line 20 minutes for a lobster roll at Red's Eats. It's worth it. IMHO, still the best. Someday, I'll try the good looking fish n'chips and Round Top ice cream. Really, I will.
Young's in Belfast has a good lobster roll with plenty of fresh meat, but is non-traditional in that they use a seeded hamburger bun (Oh, the horror!)
