Mailing Chocolate

sasamii | Dec 9, 201103:18 PM

So for Christmas this year, I am hoping to make some chocolate treats for family and friends. Unfortunately, some of them do not live in town and I am really hoping that it would be possible to mail these gifts to them.

I have purchased airtight plastic containers already, and am planning to mail them via priority 2-day mail. My question is: would this be enough at this time of year (I live in NY and am planning to mail to Colorado and Florida)? I would like to be safe and get some of those cold gel ice packs to put with the chocolate... does anyone know of a brick-and-mortar store that would carry this type of item?

Thanks in advance for any help!
