Thanks to great posts that helped me select restaurants while my husband and I were in Vegas for his 50th birthday.
The GOOD: Mon Ami Gabi (chopped salad w/salmon was delicious and we loved the outside tables), Prime Steakhouse (great setting & steak, excellent service - perfect for our first night).
The GREAT: Emeril's NO Fish House & Mesa Grill. We usually frequent Emeril's places in New Orleans (NOLA is our favorite) and while we toasted (& mourned)New Orleans, we had a superb meal at the Fish House. There is no better service than Emeril's - very attentive, yet not overbearing. Mesa Grill was a wonderful lunch with food and service warranting another visit. The relleno stuffed with spaghetti squash was divine, as was the warm chocolate cake.
The UGLY: Zefferino's at the Grand Venetian. Although my fish was really good, the atmosphere was circus-like and the service SUCKED. Couldn't get out of there fast enough - rotation of waiters were very kind to offer wine, water, appetizer, etc. just never followed through. We had to beg to get a glass of wine (to numb the pain) and we finally gave up trying to talk. Should have walked out - was just too stunned to move. It's our own fault.
Anyways, lovely time with too much good food.
