I bought about a half kilo of lupin beans at bulk food store on a whim last week. When I went online looking for recipes, what I mostly found were dire warnings! If you trust wikipedia's entry on "lupin poisoning" you have to run the beans under water for DAYS to make them safe to eat.
I don't want to make a pickle of these beans, just boil them up and serve them with my dinner.
Do any of you have an experience with lupini?
