Lunch spots in Eastie

Fargo | Sep 2, 2004 03:07 PM

Our office has just moved into East Boston -- on Border Street, right off of Central Square and of course our first priority is figuring out where the truly great lunch spots are!! We're looking for delicious, interesting, reasonable places that do both sit-down and take-out -- and in a perfect world...delivery!!

We tried Sonny Noto's today -- tasty, but not fabulous. There was a great-smelling Columbian place right across the intersection that I was lobbying heavily for, but got overuled.

We haven't gotten to Santarpio's yet, but it's on our list. It does seem like you can't walk two feet without tripping into Italian joints -- are there any particularly great ones?
Any good Thai? Latin American? Best Taqueria?
All suggestions most welcome and reporting back promised!! P.S. Any secrets to parking in this neighborhood or is it just survival of the fittest?
My hungry colleagues and I thank you!
