I am coming to Cardiff, for the first time, in about 2 weeks from New York City. I'm pretty excited and have been to London last year.
I am wondering where is a great place to have lunch in Cardiff? I am not looking for anything too posh and I am open to the idea of going to a traditional Welsh restaurant, if there is any. Absolutely no Chinese restaurants since I am of Chinese heritage and I've recently came back from Beijing and Shanghai.
Are there any good bakeries that I can pick up breads or sweets back home? I heard of Fabulous Welshcakes is a good place for the namesake pastry.
One more additional question, where can I find laverbread? I know it's an acquired taste but my significant other at home is curious about trying it.
Many thanks in advance!
