My wife and I are planning our first trip to Charleston at the end of this month and looking for lunch restaurant recommendations. We'll be in town from Thursday-Saturday and are staying a few blocks west of King and Market streets. We don't have plans to rent a car (as of now) given the surrounding area seems to have more than enough to occupy our time for 3 days on foot, but short travel is not a deal breaker. Tentative breakfast plans include Hominy Grill and Poogan's Porch. Dinner reservations have been made at FIG, Husk, and Hank's Seafood. Given we are traveling from the Midwest, we are interested in taking in as much seafood and local fare as we can cram in during our short stay- spots off the beaten path are kind of what we're looking for here. Any input from those with a local perspective would be much appreciated. Also, if there are any great cocktail destinations near the aforementioned dinner spots we should be sure to hit, that'd be great as well. Thanks in advance for your help!
