Lunch at Pizzeria Picco

I had a fantastic lunch at Pizzeria Picco yesterday. For three of us we ordered the Rocket Man salad to start (would skip this next time - basically a pile of dressed arugula for $8 seemed a bit excessive) and split two pizzas, the Marin (roasted garlic, young organic potato, mozzarella,
parmesan and rosemary oil) and the Specialized (Hobbs’ pepperoni and house made sausage, tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil)

Both pizzas were great but as big a meat eater as I am, I actually preferred the Marin slightly over the Specialized (btw, all their pizzas are named after mountain bikes) We split a bowl of Straus Dairy soft serve for dessert - vanilla bean with both hot fudge and caramel sauce. I'm no soft serve expert but this may have been the best I've could really taste the vanilla bean in the ice cream and the toppings were great.

Pizzeria Picco has always been in my top 5 pizza places in the bay area but after yesterday's meal I think they have found a place in my top 3 (alongside A16 and Pizzeria Delfina)
