To answer the poster's question re: John Besh...I ate at Luke a couple of weeks ago, between the Sugar Bowl and the BCS Championship Game. Although Besh owns it the Chef is Jared Tees. I had a really nice crab/asparagus/gruyere (?) omelet loaded with sweet crab which came with salad and french fries, and my companion had the Croque Madame, which I believe also came with fries-they do them right. We opened with the Pied de Cochon, which had a unique preparation. I'll have to go back and check my notes, but I remember it was pretty fine. The wine list by-the-glass was good-I had a nice $8 Muscadet (or two). They serve the wine casual- Euro-bistro style, as I used to do at Stop Miami, in 7-oz. bistro glasses (water tumblers). Service was great and the design is spectacular. The kitchen is enclosed in glass, so if you like that sort of thing, you can watch the cooks glare at each other. The front dining room is enormous, and if you don't want to watch the cooks, this is the place to be. It was pretty crowded at 2PM, so I guess they're doing well.
