I'm just updating everyone on my new fave in the grilled pizza world - Coals in the Bronx! It's only open a few months but I swear it's better than the Manhattan grilled pizza joints I've tried (Gonzo, etc.) The crust is thin and light, the toppings yummy. I also love the panini which I tend toward when I 'm opting for take-out - the one with the brisket is the best but I forgot the exact name. When it comes to pizza choices, I've been opting for the specials lately - usually named after old tv stars (Gavin McLeod, Sally Struthers, etc) I'm not sure what the characters have to do with the particular toppings, but it just doesn't matter. I haven't seen much press on this newcomer but I do think it deserves it.
