I wanted to personally thank the hound who recommended Louis Seafood Restaurant in the Bronx when I asked for rec's in the Throgg's Neck area, however, the post appears to be nameless.
Whomever you are, THANKS!!!
After my son's 2 week "indoctrination don't call it boot camp" graduation ceremony at SUNY Maritime College today we decided to have lunch to celebrate. I brought all your chowhound rec's with me and our group decided to try Louis's. A quick call from my cell phone and the restaurant said sure no problem handling eleven people for lunch.
Turned out to be just the right place for us. They gave us a table with privacy in the side room, so we could talk freely. The pizza and pasta were good, and my son scarfed down his chicken parm at an amazing clip so it must have been good as well.
With its casual, homey atmosphere, good service, and reasonable prices, we'll definitely be back.
