I am just posting this to break everybody's heart. I have an extended family member who is a waterman (commercial fisherman) on Chesapeake Bay sailing out of St Michael's where he lives. During the past two months of sequester he has, I am hearing from other family members, been suffering from a surfeit of oysters that has grown boring. Eastern Shore restaurants are closed so he and his wife have had to eat up all the oysters he brings back. Word is they are getting sick and tired of hundreds of oysters: raw, grilled, scalloped. It must be a nightmare (?) I may go into mourning for them. No doubt the income is missed but, imagine, wall-to-wall oysters, fresh from the sea.
