Loose, deconstructed lasagne

I have this idea to make a lasagne-type dish using either fresh pasta cut into large squares or fresh wonton noodles. Cook the noodles and layer them loosely with - I'm thinking asparagus and seafood plus some kind of sauce. This would be constructed either on a baking sheet, baked, and transferred to serving plate or built right on the serving plate with no additional baking.

Anyone have any ideas about this? I keep thinking I've seen this somewhere and it looks so fresh. I'd love to make this but not sure I want to experiment on dinner guests without any clear direction.
