Celebrating a big birthday in Paris this summer and I'm starting my food research now. I know some of these are very tough reservations to come by, but this would be blue-sky scenario.
Since some of these places don't have the menus online, I'm not sure if some are too similar to one another? Other suggestions welcome, I just want places that are different from what I have in NYC.
Also: I want to do one fancy meal on my actual birthday, but the prices seem outrageous, even for this New Yorker. For example: is L'Arpege really 420 euros per person for dinner?! That blows even Masa out of the water. So I'm thinking l'Arpege for lunch, or something like that. Whatever would feel the most fun/special for a birthday lunch.
Here's my list, thanks in advance!
L'Atelier de Joel Robouchon Saint Germain (is the 175 Euro tasting available for lunch?)
Pierre Gagnaire (how much is this for lunch, I couldn't find out?)
*Would love other suggestions of fancy spots that do a good lunch that's ideally 200 euro or less per person.
Josephine Chez Dumonet
Bistrot Paul Bert
Le Comptoir du Relais
*Need some other suggestions since I know all of these are impossible tables
La Fontaine de Mars
Thanks again, everyone!
