At dinner last night... at the diner... I was served a side monkey dish of lukewarm broccoli. I tried to add the ice cold butter from the little packet to the broccoli, but it wouldn't melt. I added salt and pepper. I asked the waitperson for some lemon wedges.
After the salad of chopped crudités with a side of dip I was hoping for something in the veggie department that would satisfy. Broccoli was a choice and I took it. Hard.

What does anyone here on Long Island do with the plain rubbery water logged lukewarm broccoli at the diner?

Since everyone eats there and as much as I dislike it, I do as well sometimes, I hope someone can shed some light on this issue.
