Logan Tavern - good lunch today

Chalmers | Feb 3, 2006 03:19 PM

I ate a very good meal at the Logan Tavern and don't know why I was so surprised. Do I recall that a lot of initial chatter on the Board was mixed at best? Anyway, I had a large and tasty shrimp po' boy sandwich. I found the shrimp perfectly coated and fried, that is to say very light on the batter and not greasy. It was served on a standard sesame sub length (6" or so) bun w/ toms and lettuce. It came with a side of equally lightly fried fries. Very crisp on the outside, and hot tender innards. I added a nice but nothing special green salad for two more bones.

My companion had the crab cake sandy w/ fries too and enjoyed it tremendously.

The service was quick and friendly, if a bit chirpy and perky. Better that than surly.

All told it was $24 w/ tip $28.

I plan to go back.
