Loco Moco from Da Kitchen, Mountain View

Now I know why this place is so beloved. Besides humongous portions, the real flavor is there. I had a taste of my brother's leftover loco moco tonight. Guess he can't polish off a lunch plate with a 10 oz. burger and other stuff any more. Nice grilling on the beef patty and it was still moist even though cooked medium well. The egg was a little past medium too. The part that was so delicious was the gravy. Not just any ol' cornstarchy gravy, this had a deep meaty flavor, not that much thickening, fresh sauteed mushrooms, and slices of carmelized onions. These people can cook!
