Visiting Boston next Saturday from NYC with my wife. We have a reservation at Locke Ober which I remember fondly, albeit vaguely, from dining there with my parents 30 years ago. Is it worth going to? If not there, where? To give some context for what we might like, our favourite NY restaurants include Veritas, Union Square (at the bar), and Wallse. We don't want anything precious - just excellent food, interesting wines by the glass, and a strong sense of place. We don't mind eating at the bar if that's necessary to get into a worthwhile place at this late date. Also, it would be a plus for it to be a pleasant walk from the Four Seasons. Any ideas much appreciated.
