Lobster Roll at Mermaid Inn--wonderful

gumbogal | Aug 14, 2005 03:06 AM

I've seen various posts about good lobster rolls, and I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but I went to Mermaid Inn tonight and had a fabulous lobster roll. There were generous pieces of lobster, with a light mayonnaise dressing, stuffed into a buttery brioche. I'm not a big french fry fan, so I substituted fries with beets, which were delightful as well. We also started the meal with the shrimp and corn fritters, which were delicious. For four people, appetizers, entrees and a bottle of wine came to $150--not bad for the quality of the meal!!
