Had been to Liberty Heights Grill a few weeks ago for brunch and really liked it. Today we coaxed the 2 teenage boys to join us for a return visit, with promises of pizza if nothing else on the menu suited them.
As the waitress was taking our order, another staff member came by to tell her they were out of pizza dough (!) and so no pizza would be available for at least an hour. So, the kids ordered things like chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks, and my husband and I ordered grilled chicken sandwiches. The kids stuff arrived, very overfried. About 15 minutes later, sandwiches arrived for us. But, instead of the chicken sandwiches with roasted peppers ($9 on the menu) that we had ordered, we both got chicken parm ($8 on the menu). Given how long the sandwiches took to come, we decided to just eat them rather than point out the error. Bread was very nice, but the chicken was so overgrilled, it was almost impossible to bite through, so we ended up tearing the sandwiches apart and eating bread parm for lunch.
When the check came, we were charged for the sandwiches we had ordered, not the less expensive sandwiches we got. By that point, we just wanted out, so we paid the extra $2 rather than sitting any longer--we thought of it as our farewell gift to the restaurant, since we're unlikely to go back again.
