Li Hua Review

Simon | Jan 19, 2006 04:46 PM

*returns from a five-week trip to Thailand and Vietnam*

and, since i was craving spicy food, i tried Li Hua today for the first time: nice place...

the tofu, kimchi, and pork stew was tasty -- i would have liked it spicier (but that may be because i'd been eating searingly hot chiles in Asia for five weeks and my spice tolerance/craving is at an all-time high) and it could have used more pork...but still a good deal at 8 bucks...

my friend had the tofu bibimbap, which i tried -- also very good...

Mandoo shrimp dumplings were average...

But i liked the very friendly service, the comfy banquets, and the big windows looking out on Grand St....very satisfying and cheap meal...i will definitely return...
