The press release I just received says the last meal on Gloucester is August 30th and they will open at the Mandarin on September 15th. Sel de La Terre will open the same day.
We had lunch there on July 1st, and it was fabulous. Three and a half hours of delicious.
My husband had the prix fixe and I had the Mushroom Risotto and tastes of his leek soup, hanger steak. (They treated me to my own Apricot frangipane tart with peach anglaise and apricot sorbet.)
Our wines were wonderful and the cheese course what perfection. I put a photo of it here.
The biggest positive of the move for us is the shop at Sel De La Terre where we can finally buy great bread, pastry and cheese in the neighborhood. (Outside of farmers' market season.)
