Les brasseurs de Montreal

I went to this new place today for the habs game, it opened about a month ago, located on Ottawa street at the junction with William near Guy street and it's a great place.

They will be brewing their own beer, although they don't serve it at this time, they are serving beer from les 3 mousquetaires a microbrewery from Brossard.

Food wise, we started with the plateau de friture, which included nachos&guacamole (both homemade and very good) mozzarella fritters, which ressembled more like a small spring roll but nonetheless amazing and not oily at all, as well as chicken wings and onion rings (again the rings were not oily at all, and the wings albeit small were great)

Then I had the jarret de porc braisé, an astounding dish really, huge pig feet perfectly cooked and the broth was great, served with fries that as i said earlier for all their fried dished, not oily and really good.

I also tasted my friend meat macaroni topped with cheese, great meal served with a side of salad, and the meat chili was good as well

For desert which i didnt had any cause i was too full after my pig feet, a couple of my friends had the pouding chomeur, all of them said it was great.

Price wise, it's in the affordable category, where 2 pitchers of beer and my meal costed less than 50$ (12$ if i recall correctly for the main course, and 15$ for the appetizer which is meant to be shared)

Can't wait to try their home brewed beer which should come in a couple of weeks from now according to the owners, and service was really attentive from the staff.

It will certainly be a place where i'll go back either to watch a game, or have a beer and a great meal after work, since it's not that far from downtown (about 7-8$ cab ride) and plenty of parking on the street after 5pm. Also, they will have their terrace open in a couple of weeks when the weather will be nicer and warmer.
