I just made it back from Leo's and it's great. The mama's special is delicious, that's going to be a new craving. Irene is a sweetheart too, so nice.
I am definitely going back. Sadly though, it's still no DiPalo's. Their Mozzarella is fantastic, got to keep that in mind next time I make pizza. But their Parmigiano-Reggiano didn't quite have that crystalline quality I love, it didn't have that crumbly texture with those tiny protein crystals that release so much flavor once you bite into them. If anyone knows what I mean and knows where to get it close to Forest Hills, please tell. (Along with prosciutto di-parma so tender that it melts in your mouth). I think I'm spoiled because I use to be able to goto DiPalo's all the time, but now it's gotten so crowded, and it's so far... Work sucks!
