Leonidas chocolates

Steve | Aug 5, 2004 04:23 PM

This is going to be old news to some of you..... but on my way to 'I see Icy', having visited Patisserie Poupon, I spied the Leonidas Chocolate shop on Wisconsin Ave. For my sweet tooth money, this is where I'd splurge instead of the other two places. Fresh chocolates are flown in from Belgium weekly. Becuase they are fresh, they will not last the week. But each of the four main types: truffle, ganache, praline, and buttercream provide a truly luxurious experience. Sold by the pound (no minimum), but my guess is that comes out to around 90 cents per candy.
