Thanks to everyone for the information about Lem's. I knew all along Chicago had to have a serious BBQ place and Lem's fit the bill. Far and away a true chowhound find.
Anyway, El Neuvo Leon is my favorite Mexican place in the city. It's at 18th & Ashland. Free apetizers are served as soon as you chose your seat. The salsas they serve are fantastic. Their flour tortillas are thick, doughy, and tasty. This has been atributed to using pork fat in preparing the tortillas although I can't verify that. My number one dish there has got to be the carne asada tacos. The barbacoa rates pretty close second. Everyone I have brought there has loved the place.
Any other Mexican places in that area I need to know about?
