After a number of attempts to secure a reservation, we finally snagged one for this past Saturday. We went with trepidation given the equal number of raves and detractors. Our experience - good attentive and warm service, no rush, great food, and reasonable wine mark-ups. We were there for almost four hours - going for the 8:30 sitting must mean no limit on your sitting time. Varied menu ranging from $8 to $14; desserts at $6-8. Highlights were the wild salmon ceviche and the cod - we ordered seconds of both. Duck confit was good but rich. No disappointing dishes. Most if not all of the sauces were intense in flavour. Wild rice pudding was good and interesting. Susur Lee came around the restaurant a couple of times while we were there. All in all, a very enjoyable evening. BTW, all four of us preferred Lee to Jamie Kennedy Wine Bar, which we also enjoy.
