Bob W. and I had lunch at the enw Lebanese restaurant in Falls Church today. Its attached to a lebanese grocery store. 113 E. Annandale Rd.

We had:
Soujouk (appetizer), a slightly spicy lamb sausage which they served with turnip pickles (and pickles). We also had a mixed grill, which has 2 kinds of kabob and kofta. We also had stuffed grape leaves. Rice and french fries are the options for sides. The fries are decent, and the rice is a pilaf with lamb in it.

The grilled meats were overdone. The sausage was interesting. Bob seemed to really like it. The grape leaves and rice side dish were good. I liked the turnip pickle. Oh, the grape leaves came with a small lamb shank...which was nice and tender.

Basically...their prepared dishes seem better than their grilled dishes. Its a nice plae to have around...but I'd like to see a little improvement. And they have posted a help wanted sign for waiters and cooks. Good...the place was a bit too slow with the amount of staff they have. :)

Oh, I had lamb shwarma there last week. It was...interesting...but I was on the fence about it.
