In a few weeks, the Grubs will be driving from LA & spending several days in the City. Ive done my houndly research, but need some help.
For sentimental & other reasons, we have some specific wishes:
1. Le Central do they still have their cassoulet? Is the bistro fare still solid, if not spectacular?
2. Crab louie at the wharf. Whats the best choice? We used to like a Grubby place on Northpoint, I think. Any type of place will do.
3. Classic North Beach Italian. Inelegant is ok.
4. Fine restos unlike anything in LA. Were already reserved at Piperade, for instance.
